Trev's initial thoughts:
Music:
TV Personalities - Privilege
Yes,
well I'm now familiar with this lot. When we were in the early stages
of putting together what is now the classic CD (?) Don't
Squeeze My Buboes, Paddy insisted that I listen to their Greatest
Hits album. This is the kind of band we should be, he proclaimed.
We're not f***ing Bon Jovi. Then he made some remark about
'progressive rock' and '10 minute guitar solos' and left the album
with me.
Food: Sea Bass with Fennel and Risottoa
It's
just dawned on me that I may have to cut the head off a sea bass.
Gross! Maybe I'll ask the terribly friendly people at the fish counter
in Asda if they offer a cut the head of a fish while you wait
service. No idea what fennel is. It's probably one of those little
jars that I've recently started to take notice of.
Wine: South
African - Red Pinotage
I've
never really perceived South Africa as a wine producing nation. The
very mention of the place cunjours up images of Nelson Mandella, apartheid,
dangerous wildlife, the song Born Free, funny accents, Johnny
Weissmuller, Alan Partridge and Daktari. (if you're not familiar with
the second I'm Alan Partridge series you won't understand the
reference)
Video/Film:
Goodbye
Lenin
Another
one from Paddy's 'subtitled' collection. German this time. Again I
don't know what it's about but it sounds like something 'cold war'
related. We shall see.
